Contact Dollar Doctrine
Dollar Doctrine runs on one promise: every number sourced, every claim checkable. If you found a number that does not check out, have a question about a guide, or want to reach us about media or business, this is the page.
Email us at [email protected]
That inbox is the only contact channel we run — there is no phone number and no social-media DM support. If it is about a specific page, include the page link; it gets your message to the answer faster.
Corrections and fact-checks
These go to the front of the queue. If a figure on this site looks wrong, tell us the page and the number. We re-check it against the original source — the Federal Reserve, the CFPB, TreasuryDirect, the BLS, or our own published calculation — and if we are wrong, we fix the page and note the correction on it. A correction from a reader is worth more to us than a compliment.
Questions about a guide
Ask away — reader questions are how several of our guides and FAQs got written. Tell us the situation in general terms (amounts and rates are fine; never send account numbers, passwords, or other private financial details). We answer what we can by email, and the questions that help everyone become part of the site.
Media and business
For interviews, data requests, republication, or partnerships, use the same email with a clear subject line. Everything on this site is original and calculated on the page, and we are glad to walk any journalist or partner through the math behind a number.
What we cannot do
Dollar Doctrine is an education publisher, not a financial adviser. We cannot review your personal situation, recommend a product, or tell you what to do with your money — and any site that offers to do that by email is one to be careful with. For decisions about your own finances, a licensed fiduciary adviser is the right call. Our disclaimer covers this in full.
Common questions
How fast will I hear back?
We read every message. Dollar Doctrine is a small operation, so replies usually take a few business days; corrections are checked first. If a week passes with no reply, your message may have landed in spam — send it again.
I found an error. What exactly happens?
We check the figure against its source. If the source disagrees with us, the page is corrected and the fix is noted on the page itself. If the source agrees with us, we reply and show you the working, so you can check it yourself.
Can I republish a chart or a number from this site?
You may quote our figures with a link back to the page they came from — that is what the sources and workings are published for. Full republication of a guide needs permission first; ask by email.
Dollar Doctrine is educational content only — not financial advice. See our disclaimer and how we calculate.
